Prayer

At Parkside Westside, we want to be increasingly committed to praying together. The weight and opportunity of praying can be felt when reading Acts 6:4, "But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word." This statement comes on the heals of the Apostles being burdened with the weight of responsibility to look after the personal needs of people and at the same time fulfilling their other ministerial tasks.

The reminder for us all is that we must be a praying people. Praying together helps us to remember that God reigns, that we are dependent upon Him, that He uses the means of prayer to grow us, and He brings about His sovereign plans through our prayers. With that being said, I want to draw your attention to three prayer groups that routinely meet. Will you join with us in gathered prayer?

Sunday Morning Prayer

Every Sunday morning we meet at 9:30am, in the Garfield Middle School gymnasium, before the service begins to pray. Anyone is welcome to join us for these 15 minutes together as we seek God's help in our time together.

Parkside at Prayer
Everyone is welcome to join us for this monthly hour of prayer. Together we will continue to ask for God's grace as we aim to help people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.

Women’s Prayer Time
On the second Wednesday of each month, women are invited to meet at 7pm at Mandy Hockenberger's home to pray for Parkside Westside. We will unite our voices in prayer asking for God's continued guidance as we help people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.
